I need a sincere answer pls!I once heard from a tourist?

who has gone around asian countries and cities that the loneliest country in asia is korea.why do you think his basis for him saying this?

I've never been to korea but this interests me more since I contemplating of going to korea someday.I have even started learning the language itself.

Could you kindly give your honest point of view about this. Thanks a lot..

Maybe because he wasn't very interested in learning the language and the culture. Americans tend to think they're superior to everyone, and this kind of attitude can have BAD effects...I've lived in Korea, have tons of Korean friends, and am married to a Korean man...btw-I'm American(not a drop of Korean blood)...I believe anywhere will be lonely when you are not willing to interact and learn the culture of the people...Koreans are impressed if you even attempt to speak the language and will praise you if they see you're making in effort. Learn the language, the culture, and don't compare their country to yours because its not the same...and you'll be fine...people will love you...just be HUMBLE!

people have different tastes & opinions on certain things or issues. maybe he didn't really like it that much in korea. or something might've happened there or there may be things that did not meet his expectations.

OR he could have used the term lonely pertaining to something else.

Ha i think i might know
Well in Korea its not always polite and ****
When you walk you keep your head down and just walk
Whereas here in Nz you say hi or how u goin or something

Also some times people can steryotype you.
Say you were going to a fancy hotel and you arrived in a rolls royce., The staff would basiclly line up to help you.
Whereas if u came in a shitty old van or something, the staff would help i guess...but not in the special way that they had to the rolls.

Korea is a great country tho...
the most economicly advanced country in the world.

I've been to at least 25 countries in Asia. Korea is no better or worse than any others from a touristic perspective in my experience. Goodluck. xox

You can always see it geologically? Korea is bordered by two things, the ocean, and north korea (which they can't enter too easily).
I think Korea is great, don't knwo what he's talking about though.
