I'm looking for a bar/lounge in Houston?

I'm looking for a bar in Houston that is a good place to go on a Saturday night for a group that has some people who like to dance and some people who prefer to just hang out. Any ideas? Both Pub Fiction and The Flat were recommended to me so far, but the reviews on both are really mixed.

Sky bar...nice.

It depends on what you are looking for --high end-The Drake is really nice, great crowd, but get there early, the lines are VERY LONG! Pub Fiction is great, but a younger 20's crowd and it is a sports bar so it is casual... The Flat is very small, and also casual. Crome is nice, good crowd, gets crowded, and has a nice outside area. Vintage is also right across the street so you can grab a drink there before or dinner at Sake then walk across the street... Try www.citysearch.com/houston or www.vinylpimp.com

I would stay away from downtown, midtown, and the galleria are both good options as is Washington--

Red Door is also still a good favorite as they have a great rooftoop overlooking Houston with heat lamps..

Good Luck!

plenty on Montrose

The Flying Saucer dowtown is fun, but not really a lot of dancing. Try Sherlock's. They have locations all over. This weekend there's a band called Strippers Lie playing at the location in Clear Lake and they're AWESOME. Great for dancing, pool, darts, or just hanging out inside or on the patio. (And the drinks are cheap)

BELVEDERE'S IN THE GALLERIA. LOCATED ON THE STRIP CENTER OF 610
