What are the airlines that fly between chicago and houston?

Pretty much all of them. Some, like Southwest, only fly into Midway and some fly into both Midway and O'Hare.


I fly to Chicago once a year to visit family. I usually fly Southwest or Continental.

Depends which airports I go between.

Hobby and Midway... Southwest
Intercontinental and O'Hare... Continental and United.

As the poster above said, nearly every airline flies between these two cities. Quite true.

There are several major airlines flying that route. A few things to keep in mind:

Houston and Chicago each have two major airports: Bush Intercontinental (IAH) and Hobby (HOU) in Houston, and O'Hare (ORD) and Midway (MDW) in Chicago. You may want to choose your airline based on which airports are most convenient to you.

Continental is headquartered in Houston and has a major hub at IAH, so they may have more flights than other airlines.

You can check for flights at travel sites such as Orbitz, Travelocity, etc. If you do, remember that Southwest does not share their flight information with these companies, and you will have to check the Southwest web site separately.

Southwest flies in and out of Hobby (HOU), not "the big airport" (IAH).
