What is fun in Galveston, TX? |
What is fun in Galveston, TX? Moody Gardens Well, besides the beach, fishing, etc... Schillerbaun is a blast!!! If you're into history and/or antiques, touring the old historic homes is a must! They are incredible! If you want something different- At night there are several ghost tours that take you around to visit the local haunts. HAVE FUN!! I love to go to Galveston, there is always something fun to do. Sometimes, I just go to the seawall and walk around. Go to the very end of the jetty and watch the waves. Or go ride the ferry and watch for dolphins. The beach is fun (when it is a little warmer). We usually go to the west end. Let's see what else I do when I go down to the island... my wife and I camp at Galveston Island State Park. That's enjoyable. We visit the Strand and shop for kitschy things like sandpiper windchimes. We also visit the many varied restaurants there. It is a nice day trip. At some point in time we'll go to Schlitterbahn. We've both been to the one in New Braunfels (me when it was just four tubing flumes, she when it was an amusement park). Moody Gardens is a nice change of pace, but can be a bit pricey. Take the trolley around the strand and down to the seawall. Go to the RailRoad Museum. The list goes on. Yes on Moody Gardens but NO on Schlitterbahn. The original in New Braunfels is the BEST!!!! Schlitterbahn is a great water park. Moody gardens.Go to the beach but its really humid there but its cool. They hv rainforest cafe there i heard that it is really great. The Strand. Great restaurants and shopping. Just a few things to do: Taking a cruise! depends on you consider " FUN " Moody Gardens and Schlitterbahn's water park |
