Road test issue (Katy, TX)?

So I took my road test early this morning. With my amazing and awesome luck, I get this typical angry African-American woman with a bad attitude as an examiner. So on my test I'm doing good (good as in safe and doing everything correct) on everything until I get to the parallel parking part of the test (had to park between 2 poles).

Unfortunately, I parked too far from the 'curb' (more like grass) for the examiner's liking. So she tells me to do a normal park which I did very well with no problems. She reviews with me on how well I did my test. She tells me I did good on everything and I did not miss 30 or more points, but she did not like how I parallel parked so she fails me just for that part.

I feel like this was very ridiculous and unfair. I also feel like whatever frustrations she had before my test had an effect on why she failed me just for that part. Do any of you agree? and if so, any advice for me?

well/good whatever. Those two words mean nearly the same thing. Who cares? I don't.

I don't think all African-American women are typically angry. I was just describing one that apparently always seems disgruntled. Sorry if I used the word "typical" wrong.

I realize my parking was crap, I even think it was crap. I just think parallel parking isn't as important as driving

I am 45 years old and have only had to parallel park 2 or 3 times in the last 30 years. I can't believe she failed you for that! I went to Rosenberg once so I wouldn't have to stand in line and they failed me for not making complete 90degree turns (which is hard to do when there were no lines on there country roads). I guess you should just suck it up and take the test again. Good Luck.

When I took my test over 20 years ago. I was afraid to parallel park out horror stories others told me about hitting pole. I asked the officer if I had to do that and he said I did not have to. I still passed and received my drivers license.

I would kindly ask her to explain her reason and if she still has the bad attitude request to speak to her supervisor for a logical explanation. If you are uncomfortable ask your parents to talk to them.

you are screwed by the system, nothing you can do but be pleasant next time and try joking about parallel parking and practice and practice

yea shes crazy.... i went to the DA's office and i didnt need to take any parking test.... go to the one in rosenberg or wharton its super eazy

Kid, you have to be less than 18 inches from a "curb" to pass the test. Period. It was that way when I took it back in 1977. Of course, not every tester makes you parallel park. The Driver's Ed teacher taught us that and one other thing (stop before the crosswalk when leaving the parking lot or you immediately fail). I parallel parked correctly and passed. Of course in 30 years I average about one episode of parallel parking per year.

So, you're saying that black women are typically angry? Wow, nice stereotype. Maybe she just didn't have patience for your attitude. By the way, you do "well" on a test, not "good." Was your English teacher also an angry minority?

Life isn't fair. Get used to it. My advice is to take the test again, stop blaming others, and do what is expected.

EDIT: Learn proper English. Your "who cares" comment demonstrates your lack of respect for the language. Enjoy your career in fast food.

SECOND EDIT: Yes, you do seem to think that black women typically have bad attitudes. You said so. I quote: "I get this typical angry African-American woman with a bad attitude as an examiner." As I said before, learn English.

The guy below me somewhere is right. This is a rant.

What a whiner. Spoiled little brat with his rant.

Dude I failed my first test to but not the second.
Then in army driving a semi i failed a test twice
but not the third time.
