Sugarland,Texas info please? |
Graduating soon with a degree in Marketing. Sugarland is my first choice to move to. Just wanted info from anybody familiar with the area, thanks. I live in Sugar Land and I love it. Yes, the commute is a little rough but it usually takes me no more than 45min (I work in Greenway Plaza). Traffic is a nightmare pretty much anywhere you live in and around Houston. A friend of mine teaches for Fort Bend ISD and it is a really good school district. There is plenty of shopping and really good restaurants. I've included some links for you to check out. There is always something going on for the community at Sugar Land Town Square. It's not really made out of sugar if that is your reason for moving there. http://www.lone-star.net/mall/txtrails/s... It's a family-friendly suburb of Houston. It's in close proximity to shopping, movie theaters, restaurants, etc. From what I hear, the schools are pretty good. If you plan on working in Houston, it'll be a bit of a commute for you. Other than that, it's fine. If you are going to work in Houston, traffic is bad. If you are going to work in Sugarland, you could find a nice place for the money. I love there but look like more priced than other place . Sugar Land has very nice houses and everything is nearby as far as stores/restaurants. Traffic is a huge pain in the...well you already know. sugarland is a great place to live i have watched it grow from a smll town with only 2000 people to what it is today with resturants and malls and great schools and great people, when iwas a kid all we had was a post office, a sugar factory two gas stations one resturant to a great suburb of houston , yes traffic does suck at times the cops can be assholes but it is getting better each day, you will love it because there is many things to do an houston is right next door Depending on the side of 59, Sugarland can be either a very nice place to live or an average place to live. There is an actual prison on the west side (off Highway 90). The east side has parts that look like Disneyland. I live in sugarland :) |
