What are the differences between Krogers and Randalls supermarkets in Houston, Texas? |
What are the differences between Krogers and Randalls supermarkets in Houston, Texas? I primarily shop at Kroger (because I know where everything is), although I used to also shop at Fiesta. Pity the I-10 Fiesta had to close. The Kroger is three and a half miles away. Randall's is walking distance. I shop at Kroger because the Memorial Randall's is overpriced. Yes, their produce is of better quality, but costs fifty percent more. I buy my bulk staples at Costco, though (milk, bread, beef, chicken, lamb, hummus). I refuse to pay a buck for a green bell pepper. well they r about the same thing but kroger is like fancier n i think a little more expencive ^^ i dont shop at either. both are expensive and their selections suck forget both, go with HEB! Randalls is pricey first off they are two different companies, they both are nice but they are both proud of their prices, there are many other stores with cheaper prices and the same products in town, the kroger and randalls are more upclass type stores i dont shop at either of them especially randals if i had to choose i would go to krogers randles just has the safeway attitude since they own them now think about it safeway shut down all there stores in houston once The price of the Grocery. Kroger is cheaper than Randalls. Kroger is cheaper than Randall's Try H-E-B much cheaper and a better selection. Kroger and Randalls both have this signature thing which means they have regutted their stores and dropped them in the rich neighborhoods like Rover Oaks-which also means their price went up-- Randall's is much more expensive than even the signature Kroger. I prefer Kroger over Randalls, but HEB/Central Market over both (it's much cheaper and has a HUGE variety of even specialty foods) Randalls was bought out by the Safeway Corp. and there are very few now. Krogers can & does order anything you want. |
