Has anybody from Houston traveled to London before?

I was planning on traveling there sometime in the future and I was wondering if it's really a nine hour flight. People I know that have been there in the past say it's a mere six hour trip

Yes, it is a 9-hour flight. JFK to London is about 6 hours and maybe that is what they are thinking of.

Yes, I've been, and it is a nine hour flight from Bush Intercontinental to Gatwick. It is 6-1/2 hours from Newark, NJ, to Gatwick.

Never flew directly, so I don't know minimum flight time. I always went through EWR.
