Where is the best beach in Maui? Hopefully where the sea is calm?

Well, some beaches are calmer than most, but it really depends on where the waves are coming from at that given moment. You can watch the TV news for the surf report, or you can ask the guys at snorkel shops.

You can try going to Kapalua beach. It is perfect for swimming, snorkeling, and scuba diving for almost all year round. But of course the rainy season from June to November brings hurricanes there. The Kapalua beach was even the first beach to be dubbed as America's best 17 years ago.

Maui is the second largest island in Hawaii but has more sparse population. The largest city is Lahaina, where you can find most of the island's restaurants and shopping. It contains quaint streets lined with art galleries, boutiques and cafes.

Kapalua is the golfer's dream.

Wailea is in the southern part of the "Magic Isle" and has great beaches.

I live on Maui and the best beach is on the west side at Kaanapalli, either south beach or north beach. North beach has the smallest shore break and it is called Airport beach. Great for snorkeling and swimming.
