Would the weather in Hawaii be nice around the end of August the start of september?

I want to visit Pearl Harbour, i understand this is on Honolulu, is there much else to do when we are there

It's hot and humid then, so do NOT bring polyester--cotton and linen are best, mostly shorts but bring long pants for dinner and places at night. There are four sites at Pearl Harbor--you can spend a whole day--the USS Arizona Memorial (come VERY early, it gets crowded), the Bowfin Submarine Museum, the USS Missouri (you actually get on board as it didn't sink), and the Pacific Aviation Museum (amazing planes from WWII and later). About $50 in tickets, but well worth the price. You can also stop at the Punchbowl Cemeetery of the Pacific if you want more war memorials.

Iolani Palace is very interesting--it's in downtown, and there is the state art museum across the street in the historic district. There is also Bishop Museum with Hawaiiana, and the Honolulu Academy of Arts with mostly Asia-Pacific but also other galleries. With some pre-planning you can see Doris Duke's estate Shangri-La (tickets required well in advance) -- one of the best Islamic Art collections in the US.

There is outdoors--of course Waikiki (you can get surfing lessons), Diamond Head, drive around the island for beautiful scenery. The Polynesian Cultural Center is mostly for tourists, but you can experience five Pacific Island cultures in one day! And there's a luau dinner show.

It may be a bit humid, but otherwise should be nice. There is a ton of stuff to do on Oahu. Of course there are plenty of beaches, and lots of shopping, but we also have historical sites like the Mission House Museum & Iolani palace, a zoo & an aquarium, a water park, good hiking, snorkeling. There is lots to keep you busy & having fun.

That's the hottest and most humid time of year here in Hawaii, but depending upon where you're from, it might not seem all that hot or humid to you! For example, if you're from Texas or the East Coast, our weather will just feel balmy to you. LOL.

Boomer Gal's suggestions are excellent. If you stay in Waikiki, you can walk to the zoo and the aquarium but you'll have to take a cab or a shuttle to Pearl Harbor. Be sure to get to Pearl Harbor early because lines get long and you'll have to wait for hours if you're not on the first or second boat out to the memorial.

Pearl harbor is not in Honolulu....Pearl Harbor is in Pearl City...close to Aiea (Aloha Stadium)

the weather is always great!!!! always sunny and warm...even when it rains...there is so much to do in honolulu, so many tours, flee markets, shopping strips sight seeing... great history

It's going to be warm & humid but the ocean and trade winds temper it. Too warm? Hit the beaches...
Oh lord - what else to do??? How many months do you have???
Visit the only Royal Palace in the US - 'Iolani Palace.
Visit the Punchbowl Cemetery.
Check out Chinatown in Honolulu and have a bubble drink.
Explore the Bishop Museum.
Spend a day at Sea Life Park.
Hike to the top of Diamondhead.
Drive across the island, stop at the Pali; visit the north shore beaches - Sunset, Lanikai, Bonzai Pipeline (though the waves will not be so big in Aug/Sept)
Snorkel at Hanauma Bay. Tons of fish, lifeguards, small entrance fee.
Go to a luau.
Visit Polynesian Cultural Center.
Wander along Waikiki and learn Japanese, haha.
Visit the Honolulu Zoo & Aquarium.

Normally it is very hot those months, but great weather.

Hawaii is made of tropical islands. In other words we have beautiful rainbows, because it rains. We have a lush mountain range, because it rains. It usually rains at least once a day, usually a light drizzle here or there. When you come it should be beautiful most of the time, even if its raining.

How is it that there are some people that don't seem to have a clue about Hawaii?

It's always warm & humid there...it's a tropical island.
