Has anyone ever stayed at the Waikoloa Beach Marriott Resort & Spa on the Big Island?

We are going to the Big Island in March and this is where we are staying. Has anyone ever stayed at this hotel? Tell me about it...

Our son stayed there for a few nights when visiting us on the Big Island. He wanted to find out how it is to stay at one of the fancy Kohala Coast hotels!

He liked it a lot. The Marriott has a perfect location on one of the best white sand beaches - Anaeho'omalu Bay or A-Bay Beach, as most residents call it. The beach is great for swimming and snorkeling. Hawaii Ocean Sports offers snorkeling, kayaking, diving, whale watching and sailing on a catamaran.

And guess what: you can even get married on the beach across from the fishponds at sunset as we did some 16 years ago!

By the way, no water taxis needed but we recommend a rental car for exploring the treasures of the Big Island and there are lots, many beyond the ordinary.

The swimming with the dolphins is not at the Marriott but is at the same resort, Waikoloa Beach Resort. You can swim with dolphins at the Hilton Waikoloa, a short walk from the Marriott.

Hope this will make you looking forward to a wonderful time in Hawaii. Have a great vacation at the Marriott. Don't miss their famous luau on Wednesdays right on the beach!
Aloha, Pua

I'm sure someone has or they wouldn't be in business.

yes its huge and big and beautiful and full of color and beautiful flowers and scenery...its a wonderful place to get away!!!

I believe I have back in 1990. It was a long time ago. But it's the hotel where you take a water taxi to your suite, correct? When I was there you could swim with dolphins on site. Pretty cool! Yeah, it was beautiful. Went in the spring and saw whales spouting off shore. The Big Island is like the moon. Make sure to visit Hilo and Kona while there. Kona has awesome coffee.

Yes, it's a great family oriented hotel.

yes i used to live around there sometimes sneak in = )
but its not as good as it used to be i would recommend the hilton
