How about exchanging a few safety tips that really matter???

1...The safest speeds on a 2-3 lane highway, one direction are
80-110 kph. On wet days or bad roads, reduce by 10-20
kph. Daily road deaths = dangerous and pointless living.

2...After heavy drinking, linger around for 1-2 hrs and drink
2-4 glasses of water before driving.

3...Learn to swim at least 5 laps of a 50m pool before taking
going on a trekking adventure, river or sea cruise.

Thanks in advance for any inputs.

UPDATE
*********** Safety tips in the kitchen, in all types of vehicles/transportation, preparations for natural disasters, internet, construction, factory, ship-building, travelling, etc are most welcomed.

As question and potentially good answers are beneficial for one's well-being, health, safety and even longevity, I intend to leave the question open for 3-6 days.

If you are involved in a minor accident or breakdown on the highway at night, don't stand on the road and think what to do next. Get far enough off the road that any drunken driver can not hit you while driving past.

4... Don't stick your head into the mouth of a Nile crocodile, unless you just saw him eat something.

Don't drive at all after drinking!! A great safety tip.....

if u go outside in the rain without ur coat u will get sick!!! =P lolz
