What precautions should i take while traveling out of the country? what meds or items should i bring with me?

my boyfriend and i are going to mexico but this would be our first out of the country trip but i would like to be better safe than sorry. he is very sensitive with his bowel movements or gets easily sick i on the other hand know for a fact that my stomach always gets iffy when i go to mexico---change of food codiments/seasoning. i dont get food poisoning but my stomach gets irritable. i just want to make sure that i have some meds that wont be availble there. thank you guys.

I always travel with peptobismal tablets - easier to travel with than liquid. A must especially for 1st time to Mexico. And your usual pain reliever. Aspirin, Tylenol, etc.

It isn't so much what is available or not, it is the convenience of having it right in your room right when you need it. AND not risking have to pay double the price when you need it.

When you get there, make sure you get the biggest bottle of watter you can find and have it in your room.

Tylenol
motion sickness medication about $3 from walmart
you can't take anything liquid, when you get there stop at grocery store to buy anti itch cream

be careful, everybody wants $$ they will try to ripe you off as much as they can. Make sure you negotiate and straight out with taxi before you get in. They don't see American they see $$$$ sign. if you are going to tour, make sure you buy from hotel............a bunch of people will try to sell everything to you. if it's too good to be true, its probably is. good luck have a bless time. You will love it.

I've always told all my friends that I do testimonials for Pepto-Bismol.... in fact, I think they should pay me to do commercials!

It pays to be careful and follow the rules to drink bottled water and drinks with no ice, etc... Having said that, we eat salads and brush our teeth with tap water and usually have no problems. But check out our page on Pepto-Bismol.

When we travel anywhere I always take Pepto-Bismol with us. My little hubby used to get sick everywhere... and once we started taking Pepto-Bismol as a preventative he has no problems. We try not to drink the water in some countries, but we eat everything everywhere. You can check our site for more details: http://www.mousetourstravels.com/pepto-b...

Happy travels... even if you don't travel the world... just remember that life is a journey... embrace and enjoy it! http://www.mousetourstravels.com
