What's safer? flying or driving?

What's safer? flying or driving?

You have only about a one in 11 million chance of dying in an airplane accident whereas I believe there is a 1 in 5000 chance of dying in an auto accident, so it's statistically less safe to drive to the airport than fly somewhere. It just seems like flying is less safe because air accidents are catastrophic and make the headline news. It's actually quite safe.

Statistically, Flying is

flying.

i concur with lonely in mco.

There are more driving accidents than plane crashes, but plane crashes are on a larger scale. I feel safer driving because you're in more control and closer to the ground.

well i think flying is
sure there are chances of crashing but its the same chances driving
plus flying is faster and more relaxing

movie and peanuts!! lol

some can say both becaues driving has more accidents but almosy all flying accidents people die. I say flyings less chance becaues their arnt 10,000 crazy people flying around like driving
