Is it safer to fly or drive when going on a long trip out of town? |
Is it safer to fly or drive when going on a long trip out of town? How long is your trip....I always fly if my destination is more than one day away... Statistically, flying is about six times safer per mile. This question has been brewing in peoples minds since the dawn of comercial flight. The plane is safer, on average around six times safer per mile, an interesting fact though is if you plot the risk per mile versus the total distance you will find that the plane has even lower risk versus the car over long distance. |
