Why do some Slavs want to call themselves Macedonians ?

Dont they realize that their ancestors were just Slavic mongols and not Greeks ? Geez .

Everybody wants some glory,and Greece has this Glorious History,that many nations tried to steal it

USA destroyed the only independent European state, Yugoslavia, and created among others this slavic state as protectorate, giving her the same name that communist Tito had chosen to give, with the intention to claim lands by the Aegean sea
Now Americans support Slavic Fantasies who distort history claiming the Macedonian identity,they have to seach in Asia to discover their roots.

It's strange for a Greek to be uneducated: nearly all of them get high school certificates or even 'university' degrees these days, even the ones who can't spell. Are you sure he isn't just educationally special? Report It

I wouldn't lose sleep over it. In the past many people have tried to copy and steal from Greece.
The Romans copied our arts and renamed the Ancient Gods.
Yet, years later, Greece is still here and the Roman Empire is gone.

Like they say, "The original is aways better than the copies!"

Because they are fakers that want to steal the Greek history but they can't because--->>>makedonia is greek!

Slavs always wanted to reach the Mediterranean sea, in order to have access to its wealth. Throughout history there are examples of that: see the siege of Salonika during the Byzantine era... So conquering Greek Macedonia has always been their dream. I agree with 鈾ngeliC鈾? the Americans are using the notorious policy: Divide and Conquer (Divide ut imperas)! So, it is natural for the Slavs, since they have America's support, to pursue their goal. Once piece of advise though, to our Slav friends: Wake up! The name of a country doesn't not make it good or bad or whatever, in the wink of an eye! If you wake up tomorrow and your country is suddenly renamed Macedonia, and we , Greeks, accept it (it was a big IF, that in the beginning!), will it make a difference? Will other problems cease to exist?
