Do you think that more Greek schools should take part in this Green Campaign.?

I am so proud of my girls school class, yesterday, they took part in a experiment, they went on a day trip, to help plant trees, in burnt areas. In 40 minutes one class of about twenty boys and girls planted 40 trees, in three hours they had planted 120 trees. The teachers and people that watched were astound. The kids felt great and there was great comaraderie. Do you think that all the schools in Greece should get together, and do more of this to help the environment. To make GREECE GREENER. much respect to those kids....

It is harder to burn what you, yourself planted.

So encouraging to see that some children in Greece have taken a break from vandalizing school property and littering the streets arount their schools in order to do something meaningful. But why did they do this on a schoolday, rather than their own free time? Report It

Everyone should plant tree then global warming would be history and I will debate this with anyone who disagrees.

Commendable and it should be done by all schools in Greece, but the main effort now is not the planting, but the keeping those trees planted green. That is the usual problem with reforestation. Newly planted trees are left un-watered and they die within the first year. That is a lesson the kids should learn. To keep up caring for the plants after the original effort.

No question about it. And go beyond that to learn to take care of the environment by not polluting it in any way. I get infuriated when I see Greeks and young ones as well discarding their waste where it is convenient for them be it the street or the sea.
