Ladies is chivalry dead or out of style?

Do you still want a guy to hold the door open for you because your hands are full of gorceries.

Open the car door for you when he drives you to places.

Hold your hand on stairs or when you are stepping off a curb.

Is that Romantic or Creepy?

******To all the MEN******
Take note of the answers given...it could mean the difference between being married and staying a VIRGIN!!!! :-P

Well, my husband has a real knight when we were still engaged. He opened the car door for me, he offered me his coat so that I wouldn't catch a cold and many other things including flowers etc. He stopped doing this since I gave berth to our child. Now, he makes many expensive presents, such as boots, bags, etc but...chivalry is not appropriate under the present circumstances. We are partners, I manage more things than he does, I am not his "baby" any more.
But I thing that chivalry in a good sense is dead nowadays. I also thing that women changed and don't give the impression of a vulnerable and sensitive beautiful creature, they are strong, confident, independent, they are...another type of "men" in a man's society, so that they can survive. Don't thing that Greek men are in a strong difference to Americans...

In my opinion that's romantic... maybe helping me off the couch is a bit overboard- unless it's a silly gesture.

Is chivalry dead? Well it's definitely in a coma with the possibility of waking up. Is it out of style? Definitely not!

I think it's what a gentleman should do! I don't see it as being romantic, creepy or necessary.. just nice and helpful.

I think it is very romantic. This art is probably dying due to the whole women's equal rights movement.

my friend did that, and when I said too much isn't good, he doesn't even help with the door when my hands are full. What a shame at my end( I ruined it all).. hahaha.. I think it is helpful and not romantic or creepy. I like when a gentleman does that, but too much becomes uhhhhh.. what's the word???

If a guy doesn't open the door for me when my hands are full of grocery, I may stop seeing him... Lol...

Chivalry is romantic. It makes a woman feel special.

Well, my Little Miss Cutie, I am not a gal, but I can say this. I am always nice to the ladies. I hold her hand, I kiss her cheek, and I am polite to all of the girls. Heck, I love women and to be mean to them or unpolite, just defeats the purpose. I can't see myself doing a woman wrong. Know what I mean, baby? Peace!

I not only want all those things,
but I also want him to buy the
groceries, make the dinner,
carry me up the stairs...and
after all that wash my hair...lol

ABSOLUTELY, I would not go out with a guy who did not show chivalry, it is definitely in STYLE WITH ME....

I do not know why we as woman accept second best, ???and then we moan and groan why men are not more romantic. Expect it from word go and you will always have it.
After all we are the fairer sex.
Lastly if a man treats me like I am the best thing in his life then, there is no telling how much I will reciprocate. It is a give and take baby.... and most definitely romantic...

I don't know what chivalry exactly brings, but courtesy and courage will never die.

Let me put it this way: I would hold the door open for a guy whose hands are full of groceries. So I would expect the same. But I don't want my car door opened and my coat held for me. And if he holds my hand, it should be a gesture of love, not an implication of my frailty.

No hun...its not dead. :)

I think people should hold doors open for people. I hold doors open for men all the time, have done for years, and they seem to have no problem with it. So I always appreciate it if someone holds the door for me.

I'm usually the one doing the driving so I will open the door (as I have the keys) though I'll leave him to close it himself.

I like holding hands, but on stairs I'd rather hold the bannister if I feel the need to hold anything.

It doesn't matter if chivalry is dead as long as it is replaced by courteous behaviour regardless of gender. Unfortunately manners seem to be out of style also.
