My wife and I will be staying overnight one day in Geneva, Switzerland. How would you suggest we spend it?

We have never been there before. We like walking around a lot and exploring.

stay in Hotel du Rhone best hotel there ........you can take a tour of the city the hotel will provide information. excellent restaurants international as well as Swiss. very elegant shops but you should ask advice of what kind of stuff you want to buy they will tell you where to go . Cest manifique..............

Go skiing in the Alps. Its supposed to be great. You also could go shop there. you can find a lot of stuff there that you can't find here. If you can't ski though you could go hiking in the Alps.

Don't know where you hotel is located, but one day !!!!!!
Go by the lake (where the flower clock is) go to the Old City (Vieille Ville), go the the Cathedrale St-Pierre (go up the tower, and you will have a view of the city , and take pictures you willl not forget. It will take you at least 3 hrs of your time (lots of walking) go shopping in downtown (rue Basses), this basically main street. Ask where Place du Molard is.
You will be fine.
