Lumiere Place Saint Louis, Missouri Only Hires Beautiful People?

I live in Saint Louis and they just built this huge casino/hotel called Lumiere Place and get this: they only hire good looking people! Isn't that sick, twisted, and perverted? I know several places do that but I didn't find out about it until a few months ago. They said straight to my mom's friend's face "we only hire pretty people". That is almost like racism isn't it? And the casino has been mentioned in the newspapers about their hiring of only nice looking people. Also, I have accidently been recieving mail from them (wrong adress!) and the whole casino is basically a sin! The postcard said "have a SINfully good time-satisfy your need for LUST, GLUTTONY, and GREED". Those are all either sins or bad things to do. That is wrong isn't it? What are your opinions on them hiring only pretty people and their casino of sin?

I agree the whole hiring pretty people is a little silly, if they want to do that fine but, why not put the people that do not meet your standards in other jobs...such as cashier. They could modify the way the hire people and make the "pretty" people you cocktail servers and such. I live in STL and one of my biggest problems with this place is why did we need another casino? There are two right there on the river front and one of them has filed for bankruptcy so why put another casino in? Really makes no sense, also why do they get to be a "free" standing building and not a boat in a moat? You know all the other casino's had to be on water or at least a big part of them had to be on the river, how did this place get approved and why do they get special treatment? I know that we are revitalizing our downtown and hey it has gotten nicer and well it really is changing but, how does this casino help with that. I don't think it does you could have put a museum or something useful in that space. I am sorry your mother had to go through that, doesn't sound like a company she would want to work for anyway I mean if they treat prospecting employees like that then how do they treat their employees. There are plenty of other wonderful companies in the area that hire ALL people, she will be better off at one of those. We will see how this new place goes, but like all the other casinos give them 10 years and their place will be crap and going down hill.
