Spring break ideas?

Hi, I am a college student and I am planning on going on a trip with my friend. We are from DC area. Our budget, roughly, is somewhere between $500-1000 for maybe 3-4 nights. We are willing to drive. Preferably to a beach. So if anyone knows where we could go, please let me know.

Any beach in Florida would be my first thought...but that may be a little out of your budget...then again maybe not if you find/figure hotel prices etc...If that's out of the question I'd suggest Myrtle Beach, Sc. It's not going to be as warm as Florida but still couldn't definitely see some 60's or 70's as daytime highs which are nice...still a bit too cold for the water though. Another thought would be heading down to Savannah, Ga for St. Pattys weekend (14th-17th)...there's an annual party along Riverstreet (like Mardi Gras...only better!) that would be a good experience if you've never visited before...There are beaches close to Savannah as well, Tybee Island is the closest followed by Hilton Head Island...both are nice and would be a bit warmer than Myrtle.
