Amtrak to SC?

Hello All,

I was wondering if anyone knew what town has the closest Amtrak Station in South Carolina to Myrtle Beach?

Thanks!

I know Amtrak lists all the cities but I am not familiar with SC so I need to know the closest town to Myrtle Beach that has an Amtrak station. :-|

Like Steph said, just check out www.amtrak.com and check it out with a map.

I'd like to give you a thought on what Elissa says about taking the train. My family (we live in Atlanta) has been taking it for years when we go to NYC or CT to visit my wife's family...and to New Orleans when we want to eat, drink and be merry.

We get a sleeper, it's not much more per person, but besides having a place to sleep and a private bathroom, the price also includes all your meals...whatever you want that's on the menu...and snacks...and you get first call for meals as well.

It's great traveling with no stress...you can read, nap, watch a movie, hit the club car for a drink, play cards, eat...without the driving! And when you figure today's gas prices, it might be a little cheaper to drive, it's not any more fun, that's for sure!

amtrak.com lists all the amtrak stations, so that would be your best bed to find the closest

Florence, SC. It is about an hour from Myrtle Beach

Charleston is pretty close, too, but sounds like Florence is closer.

I've looked at taking Amtrak to SC before, and the prices never come in below flying or driving. You might do better to check flights. Myrtle Beach has a nice little airport.
