Does the French region on Alsace-Lorraine traditionally celebrate oktoberfest?

It's for a French project... I was wondering if they celebrate Oktoberfest as region whole. Also, what kind of influences does Germany have on them?

No. There are festivals in the same general time period but they are not Oktoberfest which is, after all, a specfically Bavarian festival. The commerical success of Oktoberfest has led to imitiations being held for commerical reasons in various places around the world but it is still specifically Bavarian (which is to say not generally German).

German influences in Alsace are quite pronounced in cuisine with its emphasis on varous processed pork products and saurkraut. Alsatian wines are clearly influenced by German vinters with light, somewhat sweet, white wines being much favoured.

no, they dont.

dont tell alsacian people they are german, there wd be a risk for your life ! but... i recognize, when i came in strasbourg, i felt just like in germany...
- speaking : some people still speak alsacian, close to german (strasbourg = strasse-burg = street-town).
- houses look like south-germany architecture.
- cooking : specialities are bretzel or kougelhopf and other "german" cakes.
- cleanness : streets in alsace are cleaner than in other french cities or villages.
- culture : just like christmas markets, who are really a german habit.

just take care, lorraine is another part of france, quite different of alsace, and is not really close of the german culture. its mainly french-speaking (only a very little part used to be german-like speaking).

I dunno but GUESS WHAT!?!
