Best Uni in New Zealand?

where do you think the best uni in New Zealand is?
and whats it called???

According to the Tertiary Funding Review board, the best uni is Auckland University. Waikato is next, this was my university and in my opinion it is very good. Canterbury, Victoria and Otago are next. Massey is the biggest university but it is really just a glorified polytech. Lincoln and AUT are down the bottom, and Unitech was recently denied permission to become a university. Te Wanaga O Aotearoa bills itself as a university, but actually it isn't - it offers very few degrees and conducts very little research.

Of course, it also depends what you want to study. Waikato is the best for Management, Computing, Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics, Communication, and OT. Otago has a medical school, but the other med school (Auckland is better). Otago is tops for Law, Nursing and History. Victoria is the best for Commerce, Performing Arts and Languages. Canterbury is Engineering and Arts. Just about everything else is best to be studied at Auckland Uni.

Auckland (North Island) is best - but if you want cheaper living while at uni go to the one in Dunedin (South Island)!
