Here it is:
1. Beef: parrillas are typical in Argentina, it is meat (in all varieties and sizes) in a carbon barbeque.
2. Empanadas (pastry which is filled with beef, or cheese, or poultry, etc and seasoned with a variety of spices.
3. Alfajores: sweet pastry filled with dulce de leche (regional dessert)
4. Wine!!!!!

mmmm your making me hungry! Report It

umoanev is right, but also
milanesas (breaded meat filets), and the most traditional beverage is "mate" similar to tea but prepared in a "mate" which is a recipient with a silver straw called "bombilla"
Hot water is added to the mate leaves and this is passed on from one person to another, in a row.

They love their meat!

Patagonian Lamb (Cordero) is delicious, you must also try the parillas and asado!

God help you if you're a veggie!

We eat all different kinds of foods: Since most of us are from Europe we eat European foods, especially Italian food but generally this is our menu:

* Asado (which is like a BBQ meat, but unlike the US it tends to be more European meats and sorts)
* Pasta
* Empandas (which is a food from Galacia, Spain there like a puff pastry filled with vegatables or meats all sorts of things really)
* Pizza
* Gnocchi ( they are like Duplings made from potato, semolina, flour, or ricotta cheese they are from Italy)
* Wine is big here to we have local wine which is really well know world wide and wines from Europe are also very popular.

Thats just a small taste, but you get the general idea. I could go on really.

If you come here you will eat whatever you want but our most traditional food is the barbecue! Some others could be grilled chicken, roast lamb, meat pie, meat scallop or vegetable and meat stew.

Locro
Empanadas
Humita
Asado
