How common is it for young women of....?
non muslim descent in the Detroit/Dearborn metro area to be lured to travel out of the country to the middle east by their muslim spouse or their boyfriend ?

I have heard of cases where the guy asks the girl to meet his parents, the girl naively accepts and is never heard of again. Family and friends are broken hearted and angered when they find out the state department is unable to help them.

Sad but true.

That's depressing. I haven't heard of that happening, but then again I don't know many young women of muslim decent.

Heard cases? From where, Big Fat Book of Urban Legends by Dr. Y.R.Gullible? Perhaps this has happened once, but people of all backgrounds get abducted. Are you scared this will happen to you?

I'm not sure how common it is.... I've only heard of one case and it was publicized on Natonal television. But the girl met him on the internet and went there to meet him and his parents and ended up not coming back. I think it's sad that our government can't do anything to bring these exploited children back home! I would think that parents could go to the American Embassy to seek help.
