Whats up with the trolls?

Why is there always some moron who comes into this section and either speaks bad of detroit by asking or answering a question when they most likely never even been to the city in thier life, and just go off by what they here on the media, why dont they go to the R&S or politics section or somthing with other vast mijority of trolls and morons?
Another words, if you dont like the city, then why come to the section where its the sole subject?
How would they like it if i went to the cali section and start calling it the land of fake boobs and air heads?

J dub, your answer was not at all intelligent, your one of those trolls i was talking about you peice of ****, your a disgrace to that symbol you use for your avatar.

Detroit is the Rodney Dangerfield of cities.

We get no respect.

Some trolls just like to pick scabs ... you have some in your own family ... people who aren't happy unless they are complaining.

good point but i lived in detroit for 30 years right near 7 mile and ryan roads and for the most part it is a crap whole

Yeah, they shouldn't be totally bad - mouthing this city. BUT you have to admit, Detroit is getting really really bad. Shootings, rapings, everyday. You cannot turn the news on without a story like that here in Detroit. Also, Flint (by Detroit) has the number one highest un-employment rate in the nation.

Face the facts, Detroit is not what it used to be.

I've lived in Detroit my whole 36 years of life. The vast "mijority" (as you spell it, ironically) of trolls and morons are venting their frustrations because the city is being managed and pillaged by criminals and thugs. It's North America's version of Darfur. The people and organizations who actually try to help the city are robbed and eventually run out by the incumbent warlords.

All stereotypes are based on SOME truth. I don't understand why Detroiters have a hard time grasping truth. A few over-priced lofts (which aren't selling by the way) and glitzy casino's, is window dressing compared to the overwhelming blight that's strangling 95% of the city.

Travel to other well-run cities in the midwest and then post an intelligent comment please.

You always have them in every section, some of them consist of those who are here but hate it here, some consist of those who are brain washed by the media, all in all, Detroit has its issues and needs allot of improvement, but it doesn't help for idiots like the moron who posted the comment above me to make such statements that wont better an already bad situation, and you got to be pretty damn stupid to have the Detroit symbol for an avatar like your proud to be a resident of the city but then do nothing but talk bad of it.
Best thing to do is thumbs down the morons and ignore them.
Edit: and kimba made a good point.

Beacause idiots come on here to vent what they know nothing about. I'm in the city every day, theres new building there and it is not getting worse any faster than the rest of society.

Jay Dub summed it up. Detroit is old, decaying, and abandoned, not what it was 40 years ago. Yeah, it's not automatic death, robbery, or rape just to go into Detroit, but it does have a rampant crime problem worse than most cities.

Almost all of the city limits of Detroit resembles the south side of Chicago. People who've lived near Detroit all of their lives will defend the city's reputation vehemently, but none will venture outside of Cobo Hall after 11pm.

Same thing with their Big Talk about diversity. They'll claim pride in it, but notice how their neighborhoods, such as Troy, Sterling Heights, Auburn Hills, etc contain only TOKENS of that diversity. And inside Detroit, whites are almost non-existent.

When the car manufacturers started hemorrhaging more than 30 years ago, Detroiters stubbornly maintained that their city and factories would make a comeback. Probably what makes Detroit the butt of jokes is the singular characteristic of their own self-delusion. Pride is one thing, but blind rhetoric is sad.

The problem with the Detroit travel section is that so many questions on Traveling to Detroit are not about Detroit. Here are some examples of questions that had NOTHING to do with traveling to Detroit;

1. A Question about Jalapeno.

http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;...

2. A Question about why Detroit smells like Dirty Feet.

http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;...

3. A Question about Online Gift Cards at the Auburn Mall in Auburn, Massachusetts.

http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;...

4. If anybody knows a Dog Show Judge in Omaha, Nebraska;

http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;...

5. Transportation to a business park in England.

http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;...

I believe the reason why participants as unnecessary questions about Detroit is because Detroit has nothing interesting to offer or because they believe this is the best section is miscatergorize a question.
