Can you go hiking near Denver if you live near downtown and don't own a car? Yes, in a roundabout way. Take the BX bus from Market Street Station to Boulder. It's best if you bring a bike along on the bus. When you get to Boulder Station (last stop), go north 4 blocks to Mapleton Ave and west until you see a trailhead. If you get lost, just ask any of the locals where the Mount Sanitas trailhead is. You can lock up your bike and be hiking a beautiful ridgeline in about 1 hour from Denver, all with no car. not exactly hiking, but the Cherry Creek trail goes for miles... NOoooooooooooo yea, you can hike out to some neat hiking areas / trails... |
