How much cost 2 adults living at Copenhagen after taxes ? (per month)?

I and my wife, we are probably moving to copenhagen, but I am affraid of living costs. 9.500 DKK (per month) is enough for us ?

If it's any consolation, I found living there much easier than I predicted, depending on where you are from. Min wage in Denmark is 95dk/hr and increases if you work nights or weekends, so even the 'little' jobs I picked up paid much better than I could ever hope for in the US. Just in case your wife would be looking for work, it's good pay. In my home city in the US min wage is 29dk/hr with no benefits and no vacation. In Denmark you have medical coverage no matter what, that was a huge relief, plus 5 wks vacation! In the US medical coverage costs $500/mo for one person up to $1000+ for a family with 2 children. Plus, there is no need for a car in DK. I was able to live very easily in Denmark compared to US. Half the expense, 3 times the pay, and a much greater quality of life!

There is officially no minimum wage in Denmark. You must negotiate your wage with your employer. Health cover is deducted from your pay as tax, in addtion to sick leave tax, holiday pay, income tax, etc. Report It

Not sure where "best" answer lived in USA to say DK is half the expense. I find it about double USA expense--even without a car. After taxes, wages are similar for similar work. Just a reality check that hopefully will be helpful for you and others. Report It

If it is after you have paid tax, rent, the bank, insurence and so on, then you can live for 9500 per month.
If not then it麓s going to be difficult. But how much do you make before tax? and where do you have the figures from?

9.500 Dkr/mnd is not enough for 2 people if it is before tax. A 2 room apartment will cost minimum 5.000 with all utilities and association fees. Even if it's 9.500 after tax, that leaves you just over 4.000 per month for 2 people to live, and that's a miserable existance for 2 people in Copenhagen. I won't say it's impossible, but very, very difficult to manage.

I'd say no, whether it is before or after taxes.

I live outside of copenhagen with my husband, and we have a rowhouse, where the rent is 5800 kr/month. You can easily spend 3000kr a month on groceries alone, and that leaves you with nothing for transportation (whether it's gas for your car, or bus passes)

No, not in Copenhagen. Like what everybody else say, the rent can be like around 5000-6000 kr and then you have to buy food, pay electricity, phone bills and stuff. Definitely not, even if it is after tax.

Absolutely no!!!!

You and your wife should earned 9,500dkk each after tax and its diffinitely okay.....

imagine.....
Apartment is expensive
electricity and water are expensive
food is cheap
transportation is expensive
clothing is expensive
