Why denmark did not get the euro? why they said no?

In December 1992 Denmark negotiated a number of opt-out clauses from the Maastricht treaty, including not adopting the euro as currency. This was done in response to the Maastricht treaty having been rejected by the Danish people in a referendum earlier that year. As a result of the changes, the treaty was finally ratified in a subsequent referendum held in 1993. On 28 September 2000, another referendum was held in Denmark regarding the euro resulting in a 53.2% vote against joining. However, on 22 November 2007, the newly re-elected Danish government declared its intention to hold a new referendum about abolishing the four opt-out caluses, including the euro, by 2011.[1] In addition, Denmark has pegged its krone to the euro (鈧? = DKK 7.46038 卤 2.25%) .

Because they held a referendum and the people said no.

Because they have more sense than to give up their currency.
Like the UK. The only way we will have the Euro is if they don't let us have a referendum on the matter.

One of the principal reasons for the Danish people鈥檚 "no" vote for EMU, according to polls, was a simple lack of support for further union in Europe. Another major fear of some Danish people is the loss of the welfare system in Denmark, above all the pension system.

Common sense reined in their referendum.
At least they are allowed 'freedom of speech' unlike the UK where They have all been denied referendums by various governments.....

The Danes prefer their Krone to the Euro and saying "no" to the union was a way for many to vent a lingering discontentment with the "establishment" and with the Eurofanatics.

Anyway, there is no real need to change to Euro as the value of the Krone is (and has been for years) very closely linked to the Euro.

Sure glad they don't have the euro, it's would be a gigantic waste of money.

They want to preserved the value of their money...
They want to be unique and different from others.....
They are just protecting their money.....

Because danish and swedish are clever people....Thaey did not accept yet euro
The greeks we did accept it and prices are 250% up compair to drachmas...
