Why is the divorce rate in Denmark so high?

Why is the divorce rate in Denmark so high?

Actually there are several factors why divorce in Denmark is so high:

1.They have that freedom(they are leberated)

2.Its so easy to get divorce it almost costs nothing imagine only 500kroner you can divorce your partner...unlike in Philippines a couple should spend more than 15,000kroner just to annul their partners.
And It take many years to get annulled.

While in Denmark it only takes a day to get divorce....Gosh!!!

3.Danish have one word...if they said no...its reallly no!if they said yes its really yes!!! as in they are following the saying,,,"One word is enough for a wise man"

3.Both couples have a stable job and money so no problem if they will be separated.

4.The children below 18 yrs have a monthly financial support from the government plus the schools are free and hospitals as well. Therefore they dont worry about the future of their children.

5.The Danish women are not contented to only one man.Thats what I observed.(Me either lol!!!just kidding!)

6.Its very common to everybody so its not a big deal for them...

7.Maybe their hearts is hard as a rock......

8.Fornication or premarital sex is common to the teenagers....

9.They can have sex whenever they want even outside marriage so why keeping themselves to bind in the married life?

10.Most Danish are Atheist they dont believe in God nor Evil...
Therefore theyre afraid of nothing!

Because the guys bake better then the females.

As of 2002 divorce statistics, it was actually lower than the US, at 45.5 % of all marriages, and 2.7% per 1000 people per year.

There is no 'stigma' really about being a divorcee in Denmark, and enforcement of child support is supported by the government.

Why should two people continue to be miserable in a relationship, making their children miserable as well?

In a nutshell: because youth and extended adolescence are valued more highly than family in context of traditional marriage. This is not a judgement; it is an observation of fact.

Not as many people get married in Denmark as in, for example, the USA, so to compare divorce rates to another country would require comparing marriage rates as well.

We just had this topic in school last week. Mainly reason why danes have high divorce rate is:

*doing which and what in the family often ends up in a discussion. It shows in the statistic (from my danish book) that most of the house chores are done by the women. Even though the both parent are working full time, women are still the one doing most of the house chores.

*Women here in Denmark is very independent, all of them has works (except for other women that has other ethnics background). Most of them earns more money than their husband. So Its no problem for them getting a divorce, financially. Unlike women in some countries, that they have to rely on their husband financially.

*Other reason is, even though they don't have a job or a full time work. They can always ask for a beneficial help from the government. So women here in denmark has no problem getting a divorce.

I know this is mostly about the women, but this is how our discussion in school ends up last week. And additional info, in our class, 14 out of 23 of my classmates cames from a divorce family.

(excuse my grammar, not that good in english lols)
