Where are the trendy, young, bohemian areas of Denmark?

I'm a Canadian thinking about working there or in Iceland during the summer. I just need some information to try to figure things out. Also, what kind of jobs/reception might a foreigner expect?

Agree with john mike, Christianshavn is THE place for Bohemian to have fun and fit in, if you're in Kopenhavn.

Danish have this thing about foreigners! and their arrogance is usually visible. It's like, it's in the air or some thing!!

But, its a fun place to be in summer time, specially for short time, few months or so.

Christianshavn - popularly known as "Little Amsterdam" on account of its Dutch-style canals and gabled houses is now one of the inner city's most relaxed and bohemian areas, and is also home to the "free city" of Christiania, Copenhagen's famous alternative-lifestyle community.

People from Denmark are suspicious of foreigners. Almost a quarter of people in their jails are foreigners.

It's very popular here. You can meet new people at parties, go to the cinema or special events, find a job, track down a flat, sell a car, debate any issue and - of course - find a date.

It is very unlikely you can work legally in Denmark or Iceland without a European passport.
