Where to live near Dallas, TX? |
I recently moved to the Dallas area from OC, CA. I work in Addison and I am looking for a safe place to live. I am a single female and the apartments I've researched around the Dallas area DO NOT sound to safe. Any suggestions? ok well first of all if you looking for a safe place lets all be realistic and clear on this THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS A SAFE PLACE ANYWHERE thats a pipe dream crime happens some places have less crime others have more. i'm only going to give you based on my experience living the the village so far. what you talking about? of course always have a safe place to live not only in America but all over the world! Report It If you don't mind a bit of a drive, I suggest moving to the Valley Ranch section of Irving. It is SAFE and very nice. I lived there for a long time and LOVED it. My kids could walk to and from school, people are friendly and it is just all around a nice area. Have you tried the Post-Addison Circle? Uptown yea i suggest somewhere like Plano or something or Irving or maybe even Frisco.i love Frisco Head north, to the suburbs. Here in Plano it's nice and safe. At least on the west side of Plano it is. Frisco is good, too. If possible, stay out of "the city", though. I lived in Irving (Dallas burb) for 35 years (in New York City, now) .If you want an urban, young hipster vibe go Uptown. If you want to be away from things but still near enough go Lakewood area. I recommend Frisco. Frisco is very family-oriented. Therefore, it is very safe and has a low crime rate. Also, you are automatically close to the mall, numerous shops and boutiques, and many restaurants. I love Frisco! This is probably your safest bet. God Bless!* If i can give you any advice possible.... move as far west from Dallas as you can... you Will not find a safe...well anything in Dallas.. if you dont believe me watch the 10 pm news, that will change your mind.. Dallas has a higher murder rate than NY city...... move to Fort Worth.. laid back, not so loud, easy traffic, minuites from any major attraction you can think of... move to Denton TX it`s close to Dallas, and such nice city... people there is nice, city is calm, has a beautiful lake, house price is very cheap Denton is one of the best city of TX said money magazine named Denton no. 58 out of the "Top 100 Best Places to Live in America in 2006."...family oriented... According to the 2000 U.S. Census, the city population was 80,537, making it the eleventh largest city in the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex. In July 2006, however, the United States Census Bureau I live here in California, but I plan to move there in 2009. welcome to dallas My vote is Plano, Addison, Frisco or Allen. Frisco and Allen are alittle drive but really upcoming, growing and nice areas. There are georgeous apartments in Addison Circle and other areas around Addision. If by "safe" you are looking for a high rise and a guard, you won't find many of those in Dallas. MY VOTES ARE S. ARLINGTON, MANSFIELD AND FORTH WORTH. I'M ALSO FROM CALIFORNIA AND CAN'T WAIT TO MOVE TO ARLINGTON, WHERE WE BOUGHT A HOME... I LOVED THE METROPLEX AREA OF TEXAS... CONGRATUALTIONS AND GOOD LUCK. |
