What can you do on a gray day in Dallas, TX? |
It is probably going to rain and my husband and I are trying to think of something to do that you can do with a 14 mo. old baby? To almost anyone, I would recommend shopping seeing how Dallas has more shopping per capita than any other city in the United States. But, seeing as though you have a baby I don't know how accomodating that would be for you. So, I will recommend the Dallas Holocaust Museum, the Sixth Floor Museum, or the Dallas World Aquarium. The baby would be largely entertained by the fish. You might check out an art gallery. Another thing that many citizens of Dallas are unaware of that is in Dallas is the Las Colinas Movie Studios in Los Colinas/Irving. It is very interesting and has several props. It even has a 1/10 scale of the oval office which was used to film a scene in the Oliver Stone film 'JFK'. It also has some props that have been used by Wheel of Fortune for the stage the last couple of times they have been in Dallas. I recommend that tour. I don't think it's very expensive either. Hope this helps. please dont kill the baby go to the dallas aquarium or go to were JFK was shot and see the museum there are a ton of things to do; it might stay dry, which gives you more options.......here is a website that will give you some ideas..... http://travel.yahoo.com/p-travelguide-27... it's not going to rain! Sun is out now...too late for today, but I think Angelika has a "crybaby" matinee specifically aimed at folks with young 'uns I was going to suggest Monopoly, but the baby might not care for that. No doubt about it go to the Aquarium!! Great for kids and fun for parents too! Northpark mall could be a nice indoor walk too! |
