Commuting by air between San Antonio & Dallas?

Hi I am relocating to Texas from London and need some information regarding the logistics of doing a flying commute between San Antonio and Dallas on a regular basis. Does anyone have experience of this?

no, but you have a choice of American (DFW) or Southwest (Love Field). If you are working in Dallas proper, the latter is probably more convenient (maybe cheaper too, though that probably only matters if you are buying your own tickets). OTOH, AA has First Class for you to upgrade too, and you can use AA miles for OneWorld partners & AA's international services (for when you get homesick), whereas Southwest has just itself & ATA...but then you get to experience the famous Aatitude

There are several daily flights between Dallas and San Antonio.
I have a friend who does this several times each week.
He usually flies Southwest, but American is also available.
There are two airports in Dallas.
Love field is in Dallas, and DFW is north of the cities between Dallas and Ft. Worth.
Your choice would depend on the location of where you are going once you are in Dallas.

Well, I've lived in Dallas a lot of years, and when I go to San Antonio I always drive. However, if air travel is your preferred mode of travel I would recommend Southwest Airlines, out of Love Field. Not out of DFW. Love Field is in the middle of the city and quicker to get to. It's smaller and easier to get in and out of. Southwest has multiple daily commuter flights.

I did this for 5 weeks each year. Southwest was great for last minute fares between the two cities, and American Airlines had excellent advance purchase fares. AT&T headquarters is in San Antonio and I lived in Dallas. $99-$117 round trip is to be expected plus $26 in taxes and fees. Very easy commute but very redundant. Flights every hour from DFW and Love Field. DFW is the better airport. Southwest does not guarantee seats unlike American Air, but as said, if you are flying last minute who cares. Have fun! The change in cost of living from London to Texas will afford all of your trips! HA HA!
