Has anyone ever been on Majesty of the seas?

We are first time cruisers and are going on Majesty of the seas to Bahamas can you tell me info on the ship?

Actually, Majesty of the Seas is very different from Voyager. Majesty is part of an older class of ships. So it's smaller by 1,000 passengers and lacks bells and whistles like the interior shopping promenade and an Italian specialty restaurant.

It's a pretty nice ship, and a good cruise:
* Easy to get around, because it's relatively small (but hardly tiny -- maximum passenger capacity of 2,744!)
* Coco Cay, the private island you'll likely visit, was fun. I really enjoyed having a nice without the hassle of taxi rides or lots of pushy vendors (like in most Caribbean beaches)
* Really well kept up. Although the ship was built in 1992, she recently had a refurb (I think 2007). Even before the refurb, though, she was pretty. RCI is good about that sort of thing

Since this is your first cruise, you might want to read up on stuff to "Know Before you Go", like the packing checklist, tips on how to avoid getting sea sick, etc.:

I hope you have a great trip, and if you'd like an easy way to share your pictures and stories of your cruise, you can get an online Cruise Journal (it's free) here:

Feel free to contact me through my Yahoo profile if you have any other questions about Majesty of the Seas, or cruising in general.

I've been on the Voyager of the Seas (sister ship). We had an awesome time. We've been on several cruises, and I like checking them out on this web site which is very helpful....here is the link to the one about the Majesty. Have fun!

I was on it right after 9/11, so it's been a while. I enjoyed it along with going to Cocoa Cay. That place has changed A LOT since 2001!! A lot more to do now days!

Ejoy the food fun and RELAX!! I'm getting ready for my 5th trip to the Bahamas, but this time I'm taking my daughter's on their first cruise.
