If one put bacon on a jelly sandwich would it be better?

Okay I have to admit I grew up eating grape jelly on toast with bacon and there is nothing better.Well maybe a hamburger with mustard and chips on a toasted bun.

No. It would taste rather strange. I think the only extra that fits with a jelly sandwich is peanut butter (crunchy is best).

I don't know if the combination of sweet jelly and salty bacon would be particularly appealing. I think the tastes and the textures to be so different that they would not go well together.

But you know there's only one way to find out...

And I wonder what kind of jelly you have in mind. Perhaps a nice marmalade, a lime marmalade, with a good, tart tang, would be interesting.

I believe that bacon and fluff would be the way to go. Canadian bacon with jelly for the sophisticated pallette
