Fairfield, Ohio.....?

I am going for a soccer tournament in early April. What are some things to do in free time?

There are lots of things to do. As mentioned you can go to a Reds game. This will be the beginning of the season, so depending how good we start off will depend on ticket selection. Also, you can go to the zoo, Freedom Center, Omnimax Theatre and Museum Center (this may be a nice option, if it is still cold or nasty outside when you are here). Closer to where you will be staying ( I assuming Farifield, since you said that) is Dave & Busters a game complex like Jillians or gamewroks, except that it is really large and quite nice. Also, in that area is a Cinema De Lux, if you are in the mood for a movie. A very nice theatre and there several resturants around and shopping.

Kings Island is not open typically the first part of April, but The Great Wolf Lodge next door is open and it has a indoor water complex. There is another indoor water park in the Sheraton Hotel named Coco Key or something like that, it may be closer for you.
