I am going on a trip to China..are there any immunization shots I should get before I go?

I will be traveling from the United States. I will be going to Beijing, Shanghai, and Guan Xuo

At minimum, you should get Hepatitis A. It's very common in China, and you can get it easily be eating food that's contaminated.

I went to a travel medicine clinic before my trip to China last year, and they also recommended typhoid and Hepatitis B for me. I had already gotten Hepatitis B vaccination when I was younger, so I didn't need that one. I think Hepatitis A cost about $50 and typhoid cost about $80.

Also make sure you are up to date with things like measles and tetanus.

I got shots for typhoid, and hepatitis A+B, when I moved to China last year, but I'm living in a rural area. You should be fine without anything since it sounds like you'll be traveling mostly in modern urban areas, but just to be safe you should check out the CDC's website (Center for Disease Control). They'll be able to give you more up to date information and recommendatios for shots in the areas you'll be visiting. Have a great trip!

Once you will fulfil their visa formalities, they will tell you to get the desired dose and produce some certificate before you get visa. You dont have to worry about it. good luck
