Is it worth it to go to the China Olympics for about this amount of money? |
My class is going to China for the Olympics for 8 day. They are charging us about $1,942. How much does it cost to get a Chinese Visa? They have sightseeing. I feel it's a ripoff. What do you think? you can find more beijing olympic package tours from: If that is the entire price for hotels and meals and venue tickets, you have gotten a good deal. I have lived in beijing when there wasn't the Olympics - and it is expensive there. During the Olympics, you have to expect it will be even more so. You have to realize it is a lot more than just sightseeing and the visa cost - you have to stay somewhere and hotels are expensive in big cities- especially during a once-in-a lifetime-event like this To pay $1,942 for a Chinese visa is far too much. I'm about to apply for my Chinese visa sometime this week. It costs about $100. Depends where you stay and where you eat. It is a bit on the high side, but considering that a plane ticket is about 1000 bucks and the visa is about 100 bucks, that would leave around 100 bucks a day for hotels, meals, local transport, events, etc. If some Olympic Games events are included in the price, then it is not such as bad deal. I m living in Beijing, it is too much to pay. I.m not surprise at all . due to olympics.hotels prices are shot up to 200-300% .return airticket from HK rise to 600US$. |
