I need to know this for a school project.

Worldwide, they rank #8. Within South America, they rank #3. This is according to Economic freedom. According to GDP (purchasing power parity) they rank #46 Worldwide.

Chile is the best country technology wise in south america.

they also have the strongest army under venezuela.
