Off to Argentina in July, excavating in the far north of Misiones province, in the sub-tropica forest...?


...are there going to be tarantulas? I hate tarantulas...and we'll be on the Brasil border; LOTS of big ones in Brasil, right?

In Misiones they have the Aranha Armadeira or Banano Spider that comes from Brazil, is a kind of very poisonous tarantula, quite aggressive.

yeap. really big spiders live in that area. the ones bout 10 cm wide, or more (abot 4 or 5 inches wide, I think).
