Where is a good place with good schools in bristol?

I am thinking of moving to Bristol and would like to know where is a nice area to raise a child with good schools, I am thinking outskirts would be best but obviously am limited by price for those areas, was thinking of Pucklechurch east of Bristol, anyone know anything about this area?

id go for warmley area a few primary schools around that area and about 3 secondary schools.pucklechurch is a small villagey type place if you like that kind of place go for it but warmley has all of the things you need very close to you.
and warmley is on the outskirts of bristol

I live in Bristol, central. I would say Pucklechurch is nice but areas such as Warmley and Downend are nice too - not far from the center but definitely far out enough to have a slightly country feel to them - and with good schools etc. Alternatively, you could try Portishead - lots of young families, not too badly priced, a nice high street etc. You are 15 minutes short drive to Clifton and Bristol city centre or about the same drive to the Mall (big shopping centre) and lots of other amenities for kids - big cinema etc.

I grew up in Yate which is about 10 miles outside Bristol (not far from Pucklechurch). my school Brimsham Green was very good.
GOOD PLACES FOR KIDS/SCHOOLS etc:
Downend
Frampton Cotterall
Winterbourne
Portishead
Clevedon
Warmely
possibly Hanham

AVOID:
Knowle
Bedminster
Bishopsworth
St Pauls
(very city centre and can be a bit rough)

Hello, me again, if you're still thinking of Longwell Green area it's just over from Hengrove, there's a heauuge project going on to develop the area including a hospital, massive park/nature area, education centre, sports centre etc - here's a link for more info: http://www.hengrovepark.com/hengrove_pro...
They are saying this will bump up the property prices a lot in the next couple of years, so maybe L Green would be good to ckeck out? Hope this info is of use,
All the best, Sacha.
