Brisbane vs gold coast , where is better and whay?

Depends on whether you are planning to attend University or get a job, or whether you want a holiday.

If you want a holiday... Gold Coast.
If you are looking for work (and don't want to clean bathrooms)... Brisbane.

Brisbane is a large city, the Gold Coast is a coastal area with hotels, resorts, attractions. It depends if you want to visit a city or holiday area, but of course you can do both as so close and so easy to get to. If a first time visit you can visit the city and then spend time along the Gold Coast. You can also go north from Brisbane to the Sunshine Coast to places like Noosa which are nice.

Brisbane by far. The Gold Coast is like an underworld full of crime behind the glitz and glamour. Drugs are far too frequent there. It's kind of over-rated. At least in Brisbane there is plenty to do and not as shady
