Suburbs in Caloundra and Maroochydore?

We are planning on moving to the sunshine coast and have been checking out rental properties online in Caloundra and Maroochydore. There are various suburbs and there is also "Caloundra West" Can you tell me what the differences are and which suburbs are the "better ones" for a family with nine month old twins? Thanks :)

They are all nice suburbs and the ones that say the west side, are more inland away from the beach. The closer to the beach the higher the price in rental and the worse the traffic is at peak hour. Other towns include Palmwoods, Nambour, Bli Bli, Forrest Glen, and Landsborough. Two other towns out abit further out again are Woombye and Eudlo.
