Where are some good places to get nice but cheap clothes for a 3yr and 9 month old in brisbane?

i want to get some good cheap clothes for my kids aged 3 years old and 9 months old but i have had no luck at lifeline and salvos so where are some other good places i can go to anywhere in brisbane and the gold coast

have you tried harbour town, my daughter has a pumpkin patch wardrobe, but unless there having there sales its pretty pricey so ive started buying it from harbour town at the outlet store there, theres also another store there called awol, really good adults and childrens clothes for as little as $5, otherwise the op shops, lifeline and salvos and even vinnies are such a rip off but if you can find the church ones they are so incredibly cheap and better clothes there than the other op shops mentioned, or come and get my daughters clothes, she has so many there overflowing out of her drawers lol

I go to yard sales. Name brand clothes for so cheap! Yard sales will be staring soon here in Missouri lol.

Garage sales and local markets.

You could also try the freebie sites on the net like:

"Best and Less", sells cheap, new clothing for littlies. Also try DFO, they're located near Brisbane airport, and also at Jindalee.

Factory seconds outlets are popping up everywhere.
Harbour Town (Labrador on the Gold Coast) has oodles to choose from.
Bonds has a factory outlet near Garden CIty for your little one.
Also try searching for bulk kids clothes on ebay. Lots of folks selling off last seasons summer clothes as their kids grow out of things.

Our mothers group has a hand me down philosophy so most of our kids are decked out from year to year in their older and/or taller friends gear.

I have found that salvos and life line have become very expensive and quite seriously, at the end of each season you can pick up *new* clothes cheaper at KMart and Best and Less. Which seems crazy considering those stores are meant to be a viable option for folks wanting qulaity clothes for thier little ones at reasonable prices.

I generally go in (about now) as they are bringing in new seasons clothes and are also having % off and find kids clothes to put away for next year very very cheap ( I buy a size bigger than they need this summer and they have lovley new clothes next year). Picked up nice tees for myself for $3.20 reduced from $11.99 just yesterday!!

Good luck.

Try the website Freecycle......

Try the new Jindalee DFO I love shopping there they have a cotton on for kids great priced clothing.
