February Vacation...?

What are some things a 12 year old can do over February Vacation??

Take advantage of student discounts and go to as many museums as you can in Boston. Don't miss the boston aquarium. Also, shop in quincy market and visit the paul revere house. At least one day go to breakfast in China town and eat dimsum.

Go skiing one or two days.

Take your 12 yr. old to the Museums (Fine Arts, Science, Children's) to the Aquarium, to the movies; see if Disney on Ice is in town; there's always things to do during school break. Even at Turtle's Pond. Have fun!! My kinds always enjoyed roasting marshmellow in the fireplace and having hot cocoa - and just snuggle together - it's fun and family oriented.

It's beautiful in Boston today. Go walk the Freedom Trail while it's sunny and not too cold. (MBTA Red/Green line "Park St." stop.)

The Science Museum is on the Green line, too. (MBTA Green line "Science Park" stop.)

We like to walk around Chinatown (MBTA Green line "Boylston" stop) and Fanuel Hall/Quincy Market (MBTA "Government Center" stop.)

When I was 12 I liked wandering around in Harvard Square, looking in used book shops and listening to street musicians (MBTA Red line "Harvard Square" stop.)

The Aquarium is on the MBTA Blue line, but it's easiest to get there by crossing the street from the back of Quincy Market. The city even put in a crosswalk, so it's an easy, well-marked, and safe street to cross.
