How much should a cab ride , Boston?

How much should a cab ride cost from the Fenway to Logan cost? I've taken three cabs from The Fenway to logan at similar times all at very, very different prices. Thank you!

This is NOT a Boston Vs. New York thing. My God! I LIVE in the area and was just curious what others were charged for the airport. Not about Sox vs. Yankees!

I know this isn't what you asked, but are you aware that it's a relatively easy T ride that won't take much longer and will be a fraction of the price?

You could take most inbound Green Line trains (anything but the E line) from Kenmore to Government Center, switch to the Blue Line and get out at the Airport stop. Then it's just a quick shuttle bus to your terminal, that you get immediately outside the T exit.

Then you would be looking at spending a couple bucks vs approx $30 (I haven't taken the trip lately but that would be my best guess by the time you add tolls and tip). A cab would be easier of course, but the T isn't that hard and that trip would take approx 30-45 min on average.

Just something to consider. I'll put a link to the MBTA site and map so you can take a look at how easy it really is. If you just want to know the pricing, you might want to call one or two of the larger Boston cab companies (Boston Cab, Red Cab come to mind, sure you could find some with a quick Google), and call them. They would know the accurent current pricing. I remember when I lived not far from there often catching cabs charging wrong or taking long ways to get places. Luckily I knew to call the driver out on it. Sadly some take advantage of tourists, and figure they won't know, argue or, call and complain.

Anyway....Good luck!

Its a charge of $2.25 to sit down in a taxi. Every 1/8 mile cost $0.30 extra. Add on tolls and tunnels. Always negotiate for long distance travel by taxi cab.

with tolls about 20 bucks + tip......
