Don't go to Florida - where teachers are over worked, underpaid and Florida is ranked 48 state in the nation of worst places that don't pay teachers - nor do they pay firefightersor policemen - all the service personnel. The average salary for Boston teachers is $70,256, which is more than $14,000 higher than the average salary among all Massachusetts cities and towns. Teachers new to BPS who have only a bachelor鈥檚 degree earn $42,355 per year, compared to an average of $37,332 for the 19 communities surrounding Boston. My Mother was a kindergarten Teacher and I suppose that they make alot of Money but your best bet is to check with the area of the school that is going to hire you for their school.
