I recently moved to Boston from NYC. Is there anything interesting to do here? |
i've already seen broadways, operas etc in nyc. anything other than that? compared to NYC? No move back to NY! Report It Not see a Red sox game shoppingggg yes You should walk around, theres plenty to do, and that person who said red sox suck they suck.. yopu can go to the olderst lobster business( James Hooks ) in New England and see OLD lobsters. Then go to the old Boston Bean plant where thosee famous beans are still made! have a feeling you exhausted all options. Go to the New England Aquarium, The Museum of Science, the the old graveyards downtown, Salem Witch Museum, the North End (italian food), Fanuiel Hall Market, Castle Island, or take a Duck Tour all around Boston, take a day trip on the Spirit of Boston (a ship), walk around the Boston Commons, have lunch at Cheers, walk around Rockport (20 mins north of Boston), there are some fishing boats that leave out of the Boston Harbor (daily, all inclusive), check out Harvard Square, there's so much to do, have fun! OH YEAH, GO TO A BAR AND CHEER FOR THE PATS!!! go see the bruins or celtics Don't forget Charles river sailing. 1. Fenway Park - Sox Game There is so much to do. If you want to do touristy things (there are millions), if you want to have fun, go clubbing (Avalon, Axis, Tequila Rain), if you want to do something like billards and bowling go to a place called Jillians it has dancing, billards, bowling, it's pretty fantastic. If you're looking to hang out with friends ***** Last Resort goes crazy on Tuesdays. Most college kids have Fridays off, so there is a ton to do on Thursdays (Thirsty Thursdays) and go out near the commons and cruise china town. It's not an all night party city like N.Y. but we still have fun, and of course I have to add are far superior to NY in everyway!! Bruins hockey is a great time, with a college/school id you get to go see a game for half the price, there are tons of free tastings and tours at Harpoon Brewery and Sam Adams brewery and the best is that it's all available by the T so saves you gas, and you don't need to worry about a designated driver! Have fun go out, EXPLORE Since you are new to the area - why not do some of the touristy stuff - take in a duck tour (in the spring/summer), go to the different museums - Museum of Science, Children's Museum, Isabella Stuart Gardner Museum, etc., take in a night with the Boston Pops, see Blue Man Group at the Charles Street theater, take a walk through Boston Commons, etc. BOSTON SUXS GO YANKEES. |
